Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the United States. Since the late 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked in television and film. The actress has won numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of New York New York and fostered by an aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was about five. Bassett and her younger sister later moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett, while in high-school was a fan of John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she made the decision to pursue acting. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980) which was in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the major parts in the action film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
